The Esther nominee must be a committed worker in her church or the community for at least five consecutive years. If you have a woman leader or minister that has exhibited dedicated service in your church or community, we would like to honor this special person with the National Esther Award from NCWM.

Honorees can be nominated by anyone in their church or community that sees the value of their dedication to helping support the ministry efforts.

The Esther Awards are designed to celebrate and honor women in leadership and ministry that have been committed to helping build the Kingdom of Jesus Christ for 5 years or more.

The name Esther is taken from the Book in the Bible "Esther". It commemorates the example given by Queen Esther. Esther was an adopted child that came from a humble beginning. She was adopted by her uncle Mordecai. Esther was beautiful and very intelligent. She did all things decently and in order. Esther knew when to speak and when to be silent.

Esther helped save her people by calling them to fast in preparation for her to go to the King without being called by him. Esther was a bold and courageous young lady. She knew that she could be killed when she went before the King without being called. Esther fasted and prayed in order to ask God to prepare the King to receive her without wrath. She accepted her call to help save her people even though she was risking her life.

It is these type of women we at NCWM honor and celebrate. Women who are beautiful queens, wise, orderly, intelligent, timely and courageous for the Lord. Women who will do what God calls them to do in spite of the circumstances that appear to surround them. Women that have a calling to help God's people in any ministry that they have been given a gift to do. Women who are committed to using their gifts to build the kingdom of God.

MEN OF MORDECAI AWARD
